Position Description Summary:
        The GM of Retail Operations is responsible for providing direct oversight and strategic direction for c-store operations, food operations, product development, pricing and other strategic operational issues in the client’s convenience store network.  This position works directly alongside the ownership  team to help ensure strategies are aligned and prioritized.  This position must be able to promote a culture of shared ownership by directing and providing support for the District and Store Managers to drive customer loyalty, employee engagement, operational excellence and maximizing profitability and growth in the food service area. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for reviewing the P&L of each store, working with District and Store Managers and identifying potential/present problems and locating source of variance in business operations.
  • Accountable for maximization of profits and company assets
  • Directs operational and procedural activities for each store ensuring compliance with standards in the areas of quality, guest service, food cost, labor hours/costs, safety (OSHA), security, cleanliness, product preparation and administration. Identifies problem areas and directs the District Managers in executing means to improve quality, safety and performance.
  • Ensures compliance with all state, federal and local laws and regulations in the areas of health, safety labor and employment, as well as any applicable company policies, guidelines and procedures. Trains and communicates all pertinent information to store personnel.
  • Directs District and Store Managers in the maintenance of store and food equipment and facility.
  • Deliver on the objective of excellent customer experience
  • Develop, implement and evaluate short and long-term goals that address business challenges and opportunities
  • Instill a culture of accountability, improve the customer experience and drive a culture of coaching, engagement and teamwork
  • Oversee all store and food operations
  • Key accountability in achieving desired company-wide profitability and key performance indicator levels
  • Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to the company’s food philosophy and ethos

Basic Qualifications:
  • 5+ years' experience in C-Store management.
  • 5+ years' experience in building and managing winning teams.
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Demonstrated time management and prioritization skills.
  • Solid communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong skills in MS Office suite.
  • Must have 24-hour convenience store experience
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, and/or requisite industry and management experience is required
  • Seven to ten years of operational management experience or two plus years of successful multi-unit management experience in a retail and/or QSR environment
