Key responsibilities include:
- Financial Planning and Management: Develop and implement financial strategies and plans that align with the company’s goals and objectives, to include budgeting, forecasting, and managing the company’s financial resources.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow to ensure it has enough liquidity to meet its obligations and operational needs.
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and other financial documents required by stakeholders, regulatory bodies and executive leadership.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks that could impact the company, to include market risks, credit risks and operational risks.
- Compliance: Ensure the organization complies with all financial regulations, laws and standards, to include tax filings, audit requirements, and other financial reporting obligations.
- Strategic Decision Making: Participate in strategic decision-making with other executive leadership to help guide the company’s direction and growth.
- Investment Management: Oversee the company’s investment portfolio and make decisions on investment strategies that align with the company’s risk tolerance and financial objectives.
- Debt Management: Manage the company’s debt portfolio, including negotiating terms with lenders, monitoring debt covenants, and ensuring timely payments.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage the company’s budget, monitor actual performance against budget, and implement cost control measures as necessary.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Leadership and Team Management: Lead and manage the finance and accounting team, ensuring they have the necessary skills, resources and support to perform their roles effectively.
- Stakeholder Management: Communicate with various stakeholders, including investors, lenders, executive leadership, and employees, to keep them informed about the company’s financial performance and strategic direction.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of significant fiscal management responsibility with direct responsibility in the areas of fiscal analysis, forecasting, accounting, and financial reporting.
- Petroleum marketing, wholesale, distribution experience
- Master’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related discipline preferred. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
- Commitment to the highest ethical standards and commitment to transparency.
- Experience identifying and executing strategic initiatives including financial software and systems implementation.
- Energetic and enthusiastic servant leader.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to communicate professionally and positively with internal and external stakeholders and staff.
- Demonstrated expertise in the areas identified as primary responsibilities.
