Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing Manager to lead all aspects of marketing for the client company. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, data-driven marketer with a strong background in digital marketing, complemented by expertise in traditional marketing, branding, government and press relations, and strategic communications. This role is instrumental in driving customer engagement, enhancing brand recognition, and supporting business growth through creative and cost-effective marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Digital Marketing (Priority Focus):

  • Develop, execute, and optimize digital marketing campaigns across paid and organic channels (social media, Google Ads, SEO, email, website, mobile apps).
  • Lead content strategy and oversee creation for all digital platforms.
  • Manage social media presence and grow digital communities.
  • Track digital KPIs, analyze performance metrics, and adjust strategies to meet business goals.
  • Oversee customer loyalty platforms, CRM systems, and digital engagement tools.

Traditional Marketing & Advertising:

  • Plan and manage local and regional advertising campaigns (radio, outdoor, print, in-store).
  • Coordinate promotions, sponsorships, and community events to increase store traffic and awareness.
  • Collaborate with store operations to ensure brand consistency across locations.

Brand Management:

  • Champion brand strategy, voice, and visual identity across all touchpoints.
  • Continuously assess competitive landscape and develop differentiation strategies.
  • Drive initiatives to increase brand recognition, customer loyalty, and market share.

Government & Press Relations:

  • Serve as the primary contact for government and media inquiries.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local and regional regulatory bodies.
  • Draft press releases, manage PR campaigns, and handle crisis communications when needed.

Budget & Team Management:

  • Manage marketing budgets efficiently to maximize ROI.
  • Oversee relationships with agencies, consultants, and vendors.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop internal marketing staff (if applicable).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of marketing experience, preferably in retail, c-store, or consumer-focused industries.
  • Proven success in planning and executing digital marketing strategies.
  • Experience with digital tools and platforms (Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, Mailchimp, HubSpot, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of both B2C, and B2B marketing and community engagement.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of local government relations and press outreach is a plus
