POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES • Reports directly to the company President. • Help establish and implement sales strategies. • Direct control and management of day-to-day sales and marketing functions. • Identify, recruit, hire and retain high quality petroleum sales professionals as needed to support the business • Management, training, mentoring and success-orientation for a team of fuel and lubricant sales representatives. • Sales team coaching on the continuous development of a sales pipeline. • Development, tracking (CRM) and achievement of sales goals established with leadership. • Establish, integrate, and manage new systems, procedures, and controls. • Work closely with operational management to maximize resources. • Organize and manage sales operations projects. • Develops high level customer contacts.
BACKGROUND QUALIFICATIONS • 3+ years of verifiable sales team management success in a petroleum marketing environment. • Degree highly preferred • 5+ years’ experience in the development of fuel and lubricant pricing and margin strategies. • Proven ability to develop and implement winning sales team strategies. • Proven track record of increasing volumes and profits. • Flexible to new ideas and directions. • Independent, must be able to work with little direction or structure. • Conceptual thinker and strong problem solver. • Capable of operating within a high growth, high quality environment. • Strong work ethic; e.g., “roll-up your sleeves” leader. • Hands-on, customer driven focus.
