ROLE AND OBJECTIVE
Management of all company construction projects to include NTI, facelift, R&R, including facilities maintenance and UST projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Identifies revenue-generating and revenue-preserving capital improvement projects;
  • Identifies and quantifies capital needs; creates annual capital budget(s) and manages capital expenditures;
  • Develops and implements all capital improvement projects, including building construction, petroleum infrastructure, and new programs;
  • Ensures retail division is meeting all environmental regulatory compliance commitments (UST systems, remediation, etc.);
  • Leads repair and maintenance teams; accountable for total R&M resources & performance;
  • Achieves specific financial objectives relative to facilities maintenance; prepares budget and manages expenditures;
  • Leads all non-retail procurement efforts;
  • Improves efficiency of facilities maintenance processes by evaluating results, recommending new processes, policies and procedures; implements revisions;
  • Maintains continuity among retail operations and local work teams by communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs;
  • Develops location layout and facilities design with an understanding of today’s market and a vision for future possibilities and needs.
  • Participates in zoning and planning meetings as may be required.
  • Increases team’s (construction, facilities, environmental/UST) effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training; communicates expectations, values, strategies and objectives; coaches, counsels and teaches employees; plans, monitors and appraises job results; fosters a climate conducive for offering information and opinions; provides educational opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field and 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in c-store and petroleum marketing facilities. 
  • Specific experience in the supervision of facilities management, construction and environment / UST functions in the c-store / petroleum marketing industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and simultaneous capital improvement projects.
  • Business-oriented, strategic and big picture approach to growth, facilities development, future needs, etc.
  • Experienced working with senior management.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of industry software.
