Highly successful and diversified smaller company seeks a GM to work closely with ownership to help ensure business operations continuity and profitability, thus enabling ownership to focus on continued growth in all facets of their retail and commercial lines of business.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Daily interaction with ownership team to identify areas of improvement, training, and continuous business development
  • Day-to-day general management of the company’s business operations (convenience store retail, wholesale fuel, lubricants, LPG, transport, equipment services, etc.)
  • Maintain consistent communications with ownership (meetings, reports, etc.) on results and progress

 

Requirements

  • Degreed
  • Experience managing both retail and commercial business operations, including marketing and sales
  • Fuel sales, operations, and supply logistics experience
  • Management of key personnel
  • Sales and budget development, including stewardship of results and action plans
  • Successful track record of management decision to achieve P&L objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to combine vision, strategy and implementation
  • Process orientation
  • Creative and entrepreneurial approach balanced with the ability to implement long-term objectives and achieve ROI
